At Rushing River Design, our resin and wood products are crafted with care to ensure they are not only beautiful, but also durable and long‑lasting. To help you maintain the quality and appearance of your resin treasure, we created the product care guide below.

Quick Tips

Hand Wash Only
Avoid the dishwasher. Always hand wash with warm, soapy water and dry immediately.

Oil Regularly
Apply food‑safe mineral oil or beeswax to wood surfaces every 2–4 weeks, depending on use, to maintain luster and prevent drying.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures
Keep products away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and extreme cold to help prevent warping, cracking, or resin damage.

Handle with Care
Use soft cloths for cleaning and avoid abrasive materials that can scratch the resin or wood.

Common Care Practices

These practices apply to all our resin and wood products:

• Hand Washing: Always wash by hand using warm, soapy water. Dishwasher heat and harsh detergents can damage both resin and wood.

• Immediate Drying: Dry thoroughly with a soft towel to prevent water absorption and protect the finish.

• Regular Oiling: Apply a food‑safe mineral oil or beeswax every 2–4 weeks to keep the wood moisturized and the resin shiny.

• Dry thoroughly to prevent moisture from seeping into the wood, which can lead to cracking

Maintaining the Finish

• Oil regularly using food‑safe mineral oil or beeswax every few weeks

• Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and extreme cold to prevent expansion, cracking, or resin damage

Storing Your Cheese Board

• Store upright or flat in a dry area to prevent warping

• Avoid stacking to prevent scratches on resin and wood surfaces
